My Fall Favorites

Texas is finally giving us a taste of fall weather, and it's got me falling in love with all things autumn! Well, let's be honest - I love all things fall even when it's 95 degrees outside. Sign me up for everything pumpkin spice and anything that has the beautiful tones of the changing leaves. Today I'm sharing some of my favorite items of the season so far.

Plaid Pants

My first fall favorite is the plaid pants trend. I'd been searching for some pants just like these for a while but could never find some that were very flattering on me. I finally landed across these tapered plaid pants at Forever 21 ($22.90). They're a great fall choice for brunch with the gals.

They're not the most high quality, but I think they're a great way to try out the trend. I like that they have a little hint of red through the plaid, and the tie waist looks perfectly feminine tied into a bow. I love pairing it with this buttery soft long sleeve tee from Target ($10). I have mine in "Brown," but in person it has more of a cinnamon spice tone. The pants also look great with a sweater tucked in for those cooler days.

Flannel Blanket Scarf

Lately, I've been picking up this cozy flannel scarf ($13.99) from Amazon to instantly make any basic outfit more "fall." I have mine in the "Brown-Orange" color combo.

I like to wear mine kind of like a shawl. It really is a huge blanket scarf so you wear it a ton of different ways!

The Best Fall Candle

This candle beats all candles. It is the best pumpkin candle I've ever had.

I like that it's not mixed with vanilla. It's not "Pumpkin Cupcake" or something so sugary sweet like that. It smells warm and inviting, yet crisp like an autumn breeze. These are potent too! I had the 3-wick one on the left last fall and man, oh man, you could smell it from several rooms away. I have the single wick candle this year and I love to use it on my desk or at the dinner table. I always get mine at HomeGoods for about $6. I did find it online here too though. It about doubles in price through their site, so I'd highly recommend searching your local HomeGoods for one.

My Go-To Fall Makeup Look I shared this on Instagram a few weeks ago, and these two products continue to be my favorite items to spice up my makeup look.

I found both of these through some of Kathleen Lights' old recommendations. If you don't know who she is, she's the most hilarious, down-to-earth beauty YouTuber. I like her particularly because she's a girl who knows that some makeup is just going to be way out of people's budgets - as she would like to say, "DASS ESSPENSIVE," so she knows to throw in a lot of affordable options too. These two right here are $5 and $6. They’re so easy and give me those fall vibes without wearing all the chunky sweaters because let’s be real - I live in Texas. The coppery/ pumpkin spice lookin’ eye shadow is from ColourPop in the shade “Lightning Bug” and the cinnamon-y lipstick is Physician's Formula in the shade “Nut-ritious.” I picked up both at Ulta.

Fall Treats

Last, but most certainly not least, I want to leave you with two of my favorite fall desserts. These are for you on-the-go gals because I do really enjoy baking, but somedays I want to enjoy a sweet treat without all the mess of making something from scratch. First up, we have the beyond-soft Pumpkin Brioche Bread from Walmart.

Here's what they have on the product description: "Marketside Pumpkin Brioche is a delicious sweet braided brioche with pumpkin. This decadent confection is baked to perfection using only the best ingredients. Each bite offers a burst of comforting pumpkin spice flavor and the moist airy texture allows every morsel to melt in your mouth. Warm the brioche and serve with coffee, tea or your favorite ice cream."

WOW. Now, doesn't that sound amazing?! I can totally back this up 100%. This stuff is GOOD. And they even agree it pairs perfectly with ice cream, which leads me to the next delicious treat: Spiced Pumpkin Pecan Ice Cream.

Blue Bell really knows how to allure us pumpkin spice lovers. The crushed pecans throughout it are perfect, and though ice cream is obviously cold, somehow this makes me feel all warm and cozy inside. My husband and I got addicted to this stuff. It's our favorite "This Is Us" snack because we all know we need a little comfort food during the emotional roller coaster of that show!

I have probably a dozen other fall things I love, but I'll leave it at this for now. Thanks for reading friends!

Xoxo,

Selena
